The artist behind the music
From the Netherlands to Aotearoa
Born in the Netherlands and now based in Tauranga, DUTCH — Patrick Visser — has spent more than 30 years playing clubs, festivals, weddings and private events across Europe and New Zealand. A former club owner, producer and nightlife curator, he brings a musician’s curiosity and an experienced ear for the dancefloor.

A signature grounded in groove
Jackin’ House sits at the heart of DUTCH’s sound: skippy percussion and samples drawn from funk, disco, soul, R&B and swing. It is a personal musical identity, with the flexibility to bring in the styles and familiar tracks that suit your celebration.

Club roots, lasting influences
DUTCH began in Wellington’s clubs, followed by residencies at Euroclub, Sugar Reef in Auckland, and Planet Earth. In Whangarei, he opened the city’s first techno bar, The Mezzanine, and later launched Insomniakz.
His career includes playing alongside Sam Hill, Greg Churchill, General Lee and Mikey Havoc, with collaborations and appearances at The Old Stone Butterfactory and Salut involving Recloose, Nathan Haines and Soane.
